Angelica- celery-like plant used medicinally
Alder-Druid sacred tree, used to make whistles
Ahswaganda-roots used for memory loss, infertility, loss of muscular energy
Apple- Druid sacred tree, fruit cut into 3 sections and rubbed on warts. Bury the pieces to remove the warts
Ash-Druid sacred tree- used to make wands; leaves under pillow help stimulate psychic dreams
Bergamont- used as a tea to help influenza, bronchial infections
Betony-expels nightmares
Basil- leaves used to exorcise negativity when burned
Birch-Druid sacred tree; used in love spells
Bistort-dried piece of root is carried for fertility
Blackthorn-sloe; used in bindings
Borage-very pretty herb with bluish purple blossoms, dispels negativity
Burdock-wards off negativity
Calendula- salves made from the flowers
Catnip- used as a treat for cats, as a tea aids in disgestion and insomnia. Leaves used as markers in magical books
Chamomile- tea is used to calm nerves, leaves burned to bring prosperity
Chaste tree-helps with coughs, headaches, dizziness, mental unrest
Chervil- helps heal bruises
Chives- useful in disorders of the kidneys, lower back and knees
Comfrey-used for luck, safety when traveling; tincture or tea used to help in healing of cuts and rashes, helps heal broken bones
Dandeion-detoxifier, purifies the blood, stimulates digestion, contains magnesium
Echinacea-stimulates the immune system, fights infection, inhibits tumors
Echium- snake anti-toxin
Feverfew-helps in treating migrains, arthritis and psoriasis
Foxglove-(digitalis) poisonous, Druid sacred herb
Hazel-used to make wands, diving rods
Heatrher-promotes love; used for protection
Holly- repels negative spells, increases man's ability to attract a woman
Hyssop- used for headaches and nervousness
Lemonbalm-calmative for children, relief for upset stomachs
Marjoram-used for protection
Mexican Hat-tea used to booster the immune system
Mint-tea used for upset stomachs, colds,m diarrhea

St John's Wort- folwers infused in olive oil used as an anti-bacterial, eases pain and swelling, closes wounds; anti-depressent; leaves burned at the solstices to banish evil
Trefoil- shamrock; symbolizes the triple deities; used for protection and luck
Valerian-root is anti-spasmodic, calmative; used in spells to reconcile trouble couples
Vervain-burnt on the altar to ward off psychic attacks; used in love spells, purification, attracting wealth; powerful attractant to the opposite sex
Vetch--rots used as a tonic
Willow-knots tied in a shoot help to fulfill wishes
Woodruff- added to Beltane wine, helps top clear away barriers
Wormwood- used to make Absinthe; burned on Samhain to help with connection to those who have passed;used for scrying and prophesy when burned with Mugwort
Yarrow- anti-inflamatory, powerful incense, often an additive in love spells
Yew-used at Winter Solstice, symbol of death and birth; berries are poisonous
